BARBADOS CHERRIES IN BRANDY

Ingredients:
1 kg cherries
500 g sugar
2 cups of water
brandy
1 piece of cinnamon

Method:
Remove the stems and wash the cherries. Boil cherries, water and sugar for 2 minutes. Open lid only after the contents has cooled, otherwise the cherries will wrinkle. Mix brandy with the fruit and juice to taste, and store in jars.
