1 medium-sized ripe avocado
½ cup custard sauce (chilled)
1 pint vanilla ice-cream
Cut avocado in half lengthwise, remove from seed and peel each half.
Cut across into ½-inch semi-circles.
Put 2 scoops of ice-cream in each of 3 oval glass dishes. Arrange the avocado pieces around, and on the top of, the ice cream in each dish. Pour 1/3 of sauce over each. Garnish with ½ of green cherry.
For custard sauce, use ½ cup milk, 1 Tbl custard powder, 1 Tbl sugar and flavouring.
Mix ingredients and cook in the top of a double boiler till thick. Check taste.
