BANANA NUT BREAD

Ingredients:
½ cup margarine
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp lemon juice
2 cups sifted flour
3 tsp baking powder
1 cup nutmeats
1 cup mashed ripe bananas

Method:
Cream shortening and sugar together; beat eggs until light and add.

Press bananas through sieve and add lemon juice. Blend with creamed mixture.

Sift flour and baking powder together and mix quickly into banana mixture. Add nuts. Bake in greased loaf pan in 375ºF oven about 1 hour. (Test before time and according to your oven).
