CARAMBOLA AND GUAVA DESSERT PIE

Ingredients:
4 guavas
carambolas
4 Tbl sugar
arrowroot

Method:
Cook pulp of guavas until soft, strain through gauze.

Add to a large pot of cooked carambolas (seeds removed)

Add arrowroot (mixed to a paste) to thicken, and sugar to taste.

Then pour into uncooked pie shells, cover with a layer of pastry, sprinkle with sugar, bake ¼ hour in moderate oven until brown.
