Ingredients:
3 cups green peas (dhal)
1 cup brown sugar (or to taste)
½ tsp salt
½ cup sago
3 cups water
pulp of 5-6 seeds of durian (or more if desired)
Method:
Boil peas in water till they swell and become soft. Keep adding water if it dries up.
Boil brown sugar in 1 cup water and sieve it to remove impurities. Then add to peas. When peas start to boil, add durian pulp and mix it well. Add sago and boil for a few minutes.
Note the durian pulp should be soft and creamy.
