Method:
Stew guavas until soft. Remove seeds.
Return to pan and boil until thick, stirring occasionally. Add only a little water to the fruit in the beginning.
Add sugar to taste. When dissolved, spread thinly on non-metallic sheets to dry. (Old car windows are ideal).
Place in direct sunlight, covering at night.
Should take about 2- 3 days to dry.
Cut into strips and roll up. Seal in jars for storage. Keeps well. Use as a dried fruit.
