½ cup icing sugar
2 Tbl margarine
1 small egg
1 Tbl cornflour to make up 1½ cups with S R flour
mulberries, stalks removed
2 granny smith apples
sugar to sweeten
cornflour and custard flour to thicken
Cream the icing sugar and margarine, add egg and SR flour + cornflour. Mix well. Press into oiled pie dish and bake in moderate oven.
Place the mulberries in a saucepan with enough water to cover, add the sliced apple and sugar and cook until tender.
Thicken with the cornflour and custard powder. Cool then pour over the pastry.
Top with whipped cream.
