MOCK APPLE

Ingredients:
1 green, firm granadilla
sugar
¼ cup lemon juice
butter
½ cup water, approximately

Method:
Peel the granadilla and remove the seeds and inner skin.

Cut up the remainder and place in a pan. Add sugar to taste, with the lemon juice and a little water.

Cook until the fruit softens. Remove from the heat and mash the fruit with a fork.

Beat a small knob of butter into the fruit. Serve it as you would apple sauce.
