ACEROLA OR BARBADOS CHERRY IN SYRUP

Method:
Remove stems from fruit, cover fruit with sugar (about 1½ cups of sugar to a hatful of berries).

Put in microwave on high for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, or put on stove and slowly bring to boil, cook until fruit is soft and pulpy.
