CARAMBOLA COOKIES

Ingredients:
1½ cups unsifted flour
¾ tsp baking soda
½ tsp baking power
½ tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp ginger
1¼ cup chopped carambola
1 cup orange juice
2 tsp grated orange rind 4 eggs, beaten liqhtly
¾ cup sugar
½ cup molasses
2 eggs
1½ cups quick oats
1 cup chopped nuts
½ cup shortening

Method:
Mix flour, baking soda, baking powder, and spices. Add rest of ingredients. Mix until blended.

Place on baking sheet (ungreased) and bake for 15 minutes at 350ºF (small cookies 12 minutes).
