PIQUANT CARAMBOLA SAUCE

Ingredients:
½ cup sugar
pinch salt
1 tsp tomato sauce
½ Tbl cornflour
7 mm piece of green ginger, crushed
½ cup white vinegar
1 tsp soy sauce
1 cup carambola juice

Method:
Place all ingredients except cornflour into saucepan and heat gently, stirring, until boiling.

Mix cornflour to a paste with water and add. Stir for a few minutes. This sauce is good with fish.

Extra sauce may be refrigerated or frozen for later use.
