CARAMBOLA TART

Ingredients:
1 pie shell
250 gm cream cheese
1/3 cup sugar
2 tsp flour
1 egg
1 Tbl cream or milk
1 tsp vanilla
10-15 slices carambola cut about 8mm thick and seeds removed.

Method:
Soften cream cheese, stir in sugar and flour. Beat until fluffly. Add egg, vanilla and cream beating well.

Pour filling into shell, cover with carambola slices and bake in hot oven 425ºF (220ºC) for 6 mins. Reduce oven to 250ºF (120ºC) and bake further 8 mins. Serve with cream or plain.
