GUAVA JELLY

Method:
Slice guavas after cutting off end pieces. Cover with water and boil from ½ to 1 hour.

Strain through cheese cloth and return pot to stove. Boil fast until juice reduced by half to one-third. During this period, add the juice of one good lemon.

For each cup of juice, add ½ cup to 1 cup of sugar and return to boil. Simmer until ready to set.
