Again, fresh fruit was scarce so I prepared this pie from frozen jakfruit pods.

2 cups frozen jakfruit
1 small tin unsweetened pie apples
½ cup chopped dates
½ cup sultanas
enough pure apple juice to cover fruit.

Prepare one pie shell to your favourite recipe. (I use wholemeal flour, a little honey and cold-pressed oil in mine).

Thaw out frozen jakfruit, chop into small cubes. Chop up dates and sultanas. Put all fruit into saucepan and cover with pure apple juice to about 2 inches above pulp. Bring to boil, then simmer until fruit is cooked and soft.

Mix up some arrowroot with water and add to mixture. Stir till nice and thick. Pour into pie shell. Put in fridge to cool. Serve with Soursop ice cream or custard.
