SNAKE GOURD CURRY

Ingredients:
2 gouda beans, seeded and chopped
1 tsp turmeric
1 cup red lentils half-cooked
salt to taste
4 sliced onions
½ tsp cumin seeds
½ tsp mustard seeds
2 green chillies seeded and finely chopped
1 cup of curry leaves

Method:
In a separate pan cook the onions in oil, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, chillies and curry leaves, cook for 2 - 3 minutes.

Add the gouda bean and lentils, cook a further 2 - 3 minutes stirring all the time.

Serve with a meat dish or on its own with steamed rice.

Snake gourd curry is a very hot dish; you may like to use your own curry recipe.
